There are multiple ways by which players can obtain items.
The quickest way to obtain equipment is through the Blacksmith. Players can spend Diamonds to draw a random Weapon, Helm, or Armor. Each equipment drawn from the Blacksmith also comes with a Fragment. 14 of these fragments can be combined to redeem an Epic item from a predetermined list.
Five equipment of the same grade can be smelted down in the Forge to produce a random weapon, helmet, or armor that is one grade higher than the input items. All Gold and Gems spent on upgrades and successful enhancements for the input items will be refunded.
The success rate for forging decreases with higher grade input items. In the event of failure, an attempt to salvage the input items will be made. Input items that cannot be salvaged will be sold. The player will also receive one or more reciepe pieces, depending on the number of successive failures, for failing to forge an Epic or Mythic item. 5 reciepe pieces of the same grade may be exchanged for a Crafting recipe of that grade.
Equipment can be sold. When sold, they will pay out their base value, and all Gold and Gems spent on upgrades and successful enhancements will be refunded.
Equipment and Gems can be crafted from various input items and a recipe. Unlike in forging, there is no failure rate for crafting. However, recipes are difficult to obtain (typically through events and exchanges) and are consumed upon use.
Equipment can be recast using various input items and a recipe. Unlike in crafting, recasting involves converting a currently existing item into another, random item of the same type and grade.
When an item is recast, a preview of the product of the recasting will be displayed. Players may select either the input item or the new product. In either case, the recipe and input items are consumed.
Transmuting transfers the upgrades from one piece of equipment to another. If the product item has no stars and is the same grade as the input item, transmuting will also transfer the enhancements.
